From April 2026 we are moving from the current Multiplan structure (with add-ons) to a simpler approach based on price per job. This approach will ensure firms are charged in line with actual usage, creating a fairer and more transparent structure for everyone.
The new pricing also reflects a modest increase to keep pace with rising costs, support the development of new content (including the LCE templates), and release our new platform with its significantly enhanced features.
Starter Plan
Smaller firms with fewer than 30 small–medium jobs, will continue on a fixed monthly price equivalent to our current small plan (renamed “Starter”).
This is an entry level option for $180/month for up 30 small and medium jobs. Most of our users already on this plan will not experience any change. Any firm above the starter plan threshold will move onto the new pricing model. New firms can use this as a stepping stone while they add smaller jobs if they wish, then upgrade at a later point.
Larger firms - job-based pricing
After considerable discussion and modelling, we have established four main levels of job pricing.:
Level 1 – $110 Large work (Tier 1 and Tier 2 (both for-profit and not-for-profit), Sustainability Audits, AML/CFT)
Level 2 – $85 Medium work (Tier 3 Audits, SPFR Audits, School Audits, etc.)
Level 3 – $70 Other (Tier 4 Audits, Reviews, Real Estate, ECE, PTEs, etc.)
Level 4 – $55 Small jobs (Tier 4 Reviews, AUPs)
There is also be a $65 per month administration fee per firm.
Some smaller job types such as stand-alone reporting checklists, data-gathering and file review review templates will be charged at lower rates. Quality management tool will remain free (after the initial signup cost).
Billing Options
There will be two billing options for the job-based pricing allowing firms to choose what works best for their workflow and cash-flow preferences. The overall cost over 12 month is designed to be the same in both cases.
1. Disbursements model
Firms are charged for jobs as they go, (triggered when a trial balance is loaded or when a page is concluded) passing costs directly to their billing. Note that jobs will only be charged for once they are activated by the user, so there will be no charge until major work is done. Users will need admin approval to generate a charge for a job. This allows for jobs to be duplicated for recovery purposes without charge, and for jobs that are already on the system to remain inactive with no charge until they are used again. It is also intended to match the generation of the costs of the job with an initial billing the client, so that jobs set up in the "quiet season" are not chanrged for until they are properly started. To support firms that choose to disburse these costs to their clients, a detailed report will be provided with the monthly bill. The $65 monthly standard charge will be made each month regardless of usage.
2. Fixed amount model
For firms that prefer the predictability of a fixed monthly amount, we set a fixed monthly amount based on an estimated annual job volume generated from prior year usage. Firms have the option to adjust this amount—for example, to account for expected growth. The $65 monthly amount is factored into the monthly charge. The system will track actual versus estimated usage by category. Once the price cap is reached, firms will be notified and the monthly amount adjusted accordingly. (There is no carry forward of unused jobs to future years or refunds made so firms must contact us if their jobs numbers are forceast to drop.)
Transition
The pricing model is already in place for new users, and existing userts will change to it from April 2026.
Billing cycle days will be unchanged, and no changes will be required for payments systems already set up. So existing firms can expect to be billed on the new system from their May 2026 invoices, for jobs started in the previous 30 days.
Any jobs dated 31 March 2026 will be included in the new billing, as will all jobs set up after the April billing cycle has finished, regardless of period ending.
FAQs:
• Q. If I opt for the fixed amount model, and I hit my limit, will I be restricted from adding more jobs? A. No, we will be alerted, and so will you, but you will be able to carry on adding jobs without disruption, until we get a chance to have a discussion about amending your monthly cost.
• Q. When do jobs count as started? A. Jobs count as started when the TB is loaded or when any page is concluded, as this likely represents the point when the job has properly begun, with acceptance or continuance work completed, and so in many cases will correspond with the first progress billing on the job.
• Q. Will I be warned that the firm will be charged for the job? A. Yes, a warning will appear that this action will trigger the charge, and the account owner or admin person in your firm will need to approve the activation.
• Q. What about jobs loaded before the change over? Will I be charged for these? A. Any jobs in process will not be charged in the current cycle, but jobs set up or already rolled that have not met the trigger point will be charged when they hit that point. Any 31 March 2026 jobs will be included in the billing even if they were set up prior to the new billing start point.
• Q. What about when I duplicate a job for restoration purposes or make a master job that I duplicate from – do these count? A. No, for duplicates there is no charge if it for the same client, and a master job that can be duplicated from would only be counted if pages were concluded or a TB was loaded.
• Q. I use the Audit Assistant Quality Management tools. Is there a charge for these? A. No, you can make as many copies of these (e.g. client exit tool, root cause analysis) as you wish.
• Q. What about for the stand-alone financial reporting checklists, or the compilation or trust administration tools? Is there a charge for these? A. Yes, there cost $30 per job for the FR checklists if used stand-alone (e.g. for preparing accounts for audit), but they are included in the cost of the job for normal assurance work. The compilation or trust administration tools cost $20/job.
• Q. Will the LCE templates be cheaper? A. No. Where there is an option to use ISA or LCE the cost is the same.
• Q. Will all job types available to everyone (above the Starter plan) now? A. Yes, but there is a restriction on who can access the schools templates. And we will be able to fine-tune your account so you only see the job types you want.
• Q. Schools are technically Tier 2. Why are they not on level 1 for costs? A. We are aware that schools have been quoted on a three year contract, which still has another year to run, so firms will be unable to disburse costs for these jobs. So we discounted the cost at the level 2 amount for now to recognise that this cost will be unable to recovered directly from the client.
• Q. Why the standard $65/charge per firm? A. This covers basic support, our administration costs, hosting and storage. Plus firms get free use of our file review templates for peer reviews, and free hosting of their Quality Management tools.
• Q. Is there any difference between new jobs set up and rolled over jobs being restarted from a trigger point or charging point of view? A. No. The system just registers a job being started, regardless of whether it is new or a rollover from a a prior year.
• Q. Is there any limit on users? A. No, but we still suggest you regularly review your user list and disable or delete any that are no longer current.
• Q. Do I need to delete unused jobs? A. No. (unless you are on the Starter plan - see below). Your usage is only calculated on jobs started. The $65/month fee covers jobs left dormant on the system. You can still access these if you wish, but they will become active subject to charge if used.
• Q. Can I restrict who can activate or delete files? A. At present anyone assigned as Limited User or (Peer Reviewer) cannot activate or delete jobs, but others may. We will be adding to our permissions tool so that firms can set up their own permissions. For instance, where a large firm may want to restrict this to some specific staff members.
• Q. Can I set up free jobs for training purposes? A. At present the only way is to not activate the job (i.e. not concluding pages or adding a TB). However we are considering adding some sort of option for training purposes to create additional jobs for training or demonstration purposes for reduced costs or potentially no charge.
NOTE: for Starter Plan the total jobs on the system cannot exceed 30 small-medium jobs so to stay under the limit you will need to delete unused jobs.
