A. Orphaned pages are marked with an exclamation mark on the sidebar index.
- Yellow triangles with white exclamation marks means the page is orphaned.
- Some pages may show as 'orphaned' after roll-over, as they have been replaced with a different page.
- If you click on to the pages, there should be a description at the top of the page saying it is no longer linked to anywhere and it will ask if you want to delete the page.
- If it is doing this, it basically means with new template updates the page can be removed as it is no longer needed. We leave it there so you can copy any relevant data off it prior to deleting.
- Rather than just removing the old pages, we leave them in place in case you wish to copy any data across before deleting them. But then they should be deleted - follow the instruction in the warning header.
- There may also be cases where we change a template, for instance, to remove duplicate pages. In this case, you may also see an orphan page.
- We suggest you copy all the data you need to the new location, and then delete it.
