Printing individual pages
Pages may be printed if required from the print page command (tab at the bottom right of each page).
Pages from outside the workbook (for instance review notes and follow-ups) are not included in the final audit file but may be printed if required using the browser print (ctrl+p) function.
Sometimes work is carried out on multiple audits from a particular entity. They usually have the same response to all the questionnaires (internal control, fraud, etc). In these cases, a user could get the client to fill in the questionnaire on one job, and then print that page to PDF (from the button at the bottom right of the screen). Then in the other files delete the built-in questionnaire or checklist and attach the PDF.
Exporting jobs
By 'exporting' we mean copying the client/job out of Audit Assistant into a PDF read-only format.
Jobs are normally exported at completion to provide the firm with a separate final copy of the job. Once a job is rolled over at completion PDF versions are created and these may be viewed from the side-bar:
Clicking on the link will open a dialog box like this:
Both options will export a PDF with all attachments as links that can be accessed as long as there is an internet connection.
The option to download PDF + Attachments will pull all attachments and the main PDF into a zip file. This option is best used for storing backups. This may then be saved on your server in your own backups. for future reference, and as your archive copy. See also Annual rollover.
We recommend using the second option 'Download PDF and attachments' for long-term storage.
NOTE: we highly recommend that you make these backups as we do purge older jobs off our system from time to time.
Exporting open jobs
If required the completed file/individual pages may also be downloaded while a job is still in progress.
A full job may be printed to PDF at any stage if required from the Print/Export Client (PDF) command as shown in the screenshot below:
This is essentially the same as the export after the rollover, but obviously, the job will not be complete. Clicking the link will open up a dialog with options to either download the job as a PDF with all attachments as links within the PDF or for downloading a zip file with all attachments separately as shown below:
